I don’t know much about Jamie Lidell other than someone played his first album for me a few years ago and I thought it was an LP from the 60s, maybe even Al Green. It took me about 8 months later to discover Lidell’s a white British guy with a lot of soul. When I got Jim in the mail the other day, I played it for another friend who hadn’t heard of him. He claimed Lidell is “the male Amy Winehouse.” Good enough for me!
