I’ve been following and enjoying Jill Alexander Essbaum’s blogging over at Best American Poetry about the Nick Cave European tour, and I’m pleased to find out that she’ll be going to the same show I’m going to stateside in September!

My comrade and boss Ken Norton, who volunteers over at Charlotte’s only(?) area college radio station, WSGE, will be interviewing The Spongetones today around 4:30 p.m. during the station’s pledge drive and his “Eclectic Blend” set. You can listen to it streaming online.

Chatham County Line, the NC band I wrote about earlier this year in my ”Musicians To Watch” article for Eye magazine, will be playing at The Neighborhood Theatre on Saturday. I haven’t bought tickets yet but maybe I’ll see you there!
